NYT Endorses Ned Lamont for Senate !
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/29/opinion/29sun2.html

The Senate Race in Connecticut

The Congressional elections are very much about America’s problems in Iraq. But the campaigns have shed little light on exactly what should happen next. Nowhere is that more true than in Connecticut. The two leading candidates, Ned Lamont and Joseph Lieberman, have clear disagreements over whether invading Iraq was a good idea in the first place, but grow much fuzzier when the question of future strategy comes up.

Mr. Lieberman, a three-term Democratic senator now running as an independent, talks about the threat of Islamic terrorism. Mr. Lamont, who beat Mr. Lieberman in the Democratic primary, reminds voters what a mess the invasion created. When it comes to the next step, Mr. Lieberman seems to mimic the Bush administration’s proposal to stay the course (while no longer mentioning that toxic phrase) with new tactics. Mr. Lamont is close to the Senate Democrats (minus Mr. Lieberman) who demanded a timetable for withdrawal without being too firm on what that ought to entail.

No one expects legislators to dictate military tactics. But what we need from the next crop of elected officials in Washington is a willingness to face reality, to choose from among difficult options and have the courage to be honest with the public about the consequences. On those points, Mr. Lamont is by far the better candidate.

6. They endorsed Lamont in the primary as well.
So I was expecting this. But it's so well-written and convincing. I wish it wasn't copyrighted, so I could distribute it while canvassing.

8. Which nickname is better for Lieberman...
1. Dr. Zaius
2. Droopy
3. The Joeker

I'm very hopeful about our chances of taking the House, less so of taking the Senate, and not at all of winning in DISConnecticut.

9. How About...
...winner?

Lamont has run a very poor race, and was up against a Democratic icon. He never had a chance.

12. Ct. Senate race represents the heart and soul of the Dem Party
Make phone calls-everyone- call the DSCC (the Vice Chair-Mark Pryor is suporting the Independent Lieberman-not the Dem! How can that happen!) -call Biden, Feingold,Boxer,Obama, Clinton etc. etc. tell them to stand up for what is right-the Senate is not a fraternity house- they are working for us-friendship has nothing to do with what is right for our country. A Lieberman win will support the Bush administration and the war on terror. Lieberman is being endorsed by Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Michele Malkin, Sean Hannity, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, George Bush etc. etc.
Don't believe that Joe Lieberman will do what's right for the country- he'll do what's right for Joe-after all- it's Connecticut for Lieberman not Lieberman for Connecticut-
GET ON THE PHONE NOW- TELL THE DNC ETC. THAT WE DEMAND THEY SUPPORT THE CANDIDATE CHOSEN BY THE DEMOCRATS OF CONNECTICUT. LIEBERMAN HAS BEEN VOTED OFF THE ISLAND-HE LOST-

THE POLLS ARE CHANGING- THE NEWEST SHOWS ONLY AN 8 POINT SPREAD- THE GRASSROOTS OF CT CANNOT BE UNDERESTIMATED-MAD AS HELL AND THEY'RE NOT GONNA TAKE IT!
