Gadhafi armed al-Qaeda with germ bombs: report

London, Dec 28. (PTI): Libyan leader Maommar Gadhafi, who recently abandoned his country's weapons of mass destruction programme, had armed al-Qaeda terror network with germ bombs, a report claimed today.

Libyan intelligence chief Musa Kusa told British secret service agency Mi5 that tens of thousands of weapons had been produced at 10 secret sites in the country, the Sunday Express said.

1. OH, BULLSHIT!

Al Queda has tried to kill Gadhaffi numerous times in the past. Why the Hell would he hand them weapons to aim at himself? The British even hired Al Queda to off Gadhaffi at least once (cf. Shayler affair).

I'll say this: Spinners of fables like this (did ya hear the one about Iraq working with Al Queda?) count on our unfortunate racism against anyone non-white/non-christian to seem plausible. Anyone else in the world with half a damn brain would not categorize Gadhaffi and Al Queda in the same camp. Here in the US, they appear the 'same' (and willing to work together), since they are both 'Arab' and 'Muslim'. I realize that this story originates on 'hinduonet', but I believe that's just the 'outlet'.This story has all the markings of a CIA/Mossad sell job, no matter where they seeded it.

However, I don't think it's a CIA/Mossad screed, as you suppose, but a homegrown Hindu anti-Muslim tract. After all, Pakistan, an Muslim country that's capital city is Islamabad, is the bitterest enemy of Hindu India.
