A so called "unexpected" collateral consequence of the Irak war : the franco russian cooperation!!!  

3 common projects :
- a common fighter jet (a crossing in between a Mirage 2000 and a Sukhoi 27).
- a common space programm (Ariane / Soyouz).
- a common civil nuclear research programm.

As Germany is already associated with France for the two last programms...The fraco-german couple will drag the rest of the EU countries behind them (except England)...

Many thinkers in Europe already foresaw that a US intervention in Irak will accelerate the cooperation between the EU and Russia for fear of total US hegemony over oil ressources and military power.
