THEY are the two faces of womanhood now struggling for the soul of Pakistan.

Pretty Shebana Zafar is a hard-working office executive who loves shopping, visiting the hairdressing salon and watching Angelina Jolie films.

A short drive across Pakistani capital Islamabad, burka-clad Bind-e-Abdullah dreams of blowing herself to smithereens as a martyr for Islam against Britain and the US. Just 18, she spends eight hours every day learning verses from the Koran by heart and has lessons in Jihad or Holy War.

Covered head to toe in the black burka, with just a slit for her eyes, she admitted last night: “It would be an honour to be a martyr. I would be the first to do it.”...
