5. NEVER! This War violates our very identity as a nation and makes hypocrits out of all of us.
I know we've been doing stuff like this for generations, but that doesn't make it right. As a matter of fact acting for so long contrary to our own values, especially against our own reverence for Freedom, is what has caused our culture to become so horribly SICK.

8. I'm not okay with it!
But just about every member of my worthless goddamned family seems happy as a lark about it.

So I assume that a lot of America is still pleased with the whole mess.

10. But they are dying, more and more each time I watch PBS news i read their names.
And every time I read their names I check their ages and the ages of my sons and I compare. And I compare what these dead boys should be doing rather than coming home draped in a piece of cloth colored red white and blue. A piece of cloth that used to mean so much to me and to mine but which now has become nothing more than a death shroud for a generation lost to the naked ambition of oil men hungry to get the oil prices from 50$ a barrel to 100$ in ten years .

We care. Not one life. Not one penny. For what? The unholy march to keep the oil flowing at any cost, at ever hier costs. Never a cent to be spent. Not one penny to oil . My life and my worth to find a way to stop these animals.

12. Absolutely Not!!!!
Launching an invasion of Iraq without any evidence of threat to ourselves or others or provocation by Saddam's regime was wrong and, as such, everything that has followed has been equally wrong and disastrous

Unfortunately, it seems like the so-called "surge" policy has caused a lot of members of Congress (in both parties) and influential pundits to stop thinking critically about the situation in Iraq and seems to have greatly lessened pressure on Bush and the Republicans for withdrawal. Whether this will lead to an endorsement by a majority of the public of our continued occupation/military presence in Iraq as long as US troop casualties are not significant remains to be seen. I certainly hope that the majority of the public and our party does not support a more or less indefinite occupation of a country that we shouldn't even be in in the first place.
