BS! Saak was Justice Minister in the government of Shevardnadze. After taking Soros money, his youth
group threw out that last Foreign Minister of the USSR in 2003. Up to that time, Saak was in charge of
the coverup and whitewash of the murder of Gamsakhurdia, a tyrant who came to power on a "Georgia for the
Georgians" platform. In 2004, Saak had a change of heart, he asked the Chechen government to disinter
Gamsak, and he had him buried in Georgia's Pantheon of Heros. Read Totten's crap again, in that context.
How much support does Saakashvili have? After deceit about semi-autonomy for ethnic minorities, his
constituency could only be of the 70% who speak Georgian. From 80% support in 2004 he went to 52.8%,
in the Jan. 5, 2008 election, which was rigged and followed closure of the opposition press, jailing of
Justice Party and Anti-Soros Group members. True, 15,000 supporters were gathered together when he
put Condi Rice on disply in Tblisi, while Russians were supposedly trying to seize the entire country.
But, he assembled them from his crony class of new Apparatchuks. He cannot possibly have 5% of popular
support.
