gay rights to protest at Crist wedding
An organization that supports equal marriage rights for the gay community will hold a candlelight vigil near the wedding ceremony of Gov. Charlie Crist and Carole Rome. The organization, Impact-Florida, says they are not protesting Crist's wedding, but advocating that all Floridians have the right to marry.

In a blow to Florida's gay community, voters in November passed an amendment that defines marriage in the state's constitution as between a man and a woman.

3. Yes, a friend of mine is the organizer.
She's level-headed, so I don't expect the event will involve bull-horns and demonstrations that will disrupt the ceremony... just a peaceful gathering against Amendment 2.

The rationale behind the gathering is that Crist gave his endorsement to A2, denying GLBT their marriage rights, and now he is exercising his right to marry that he has denied others. A very legitimate argument.
