It's all right here:
http://www.examiner.com/x-1765-Underground-Examiner~y2009m4d2-Ward-Churchill-awarded-1-for-wrongful-terminationI have never read any of Churchill's writings. I've never looked at any of his scholarship. And until yesterday, I had never met the man.
I have been in and out of the courthouse all week while Ward Churchill was in court suing the University for wrongful termination. Yesterday, I saw him smoking outside with his wife and a few college-age students who always seem to surround him, and asked, "How are things going?"
He said something along the lines of the trial was already decided, which I took to mean that they had it in for him. I guess they didn't.
I saw him again today, and went up and said hello. He was sitting with two other fans who had driven in from California to support him. I was hoping to sneak a photo from my cell phone, since there aren't many photos of Churchill in the public domain. Then, someone walked by and said the Jury had a question, and off they went, into court, and off I went to sort through some more files.
You can read the rest at the link, but just thought I'd share.
