one of the statements i hate is when politicians claim to speak for the "american people", especially when conservatives/republicans say that. But, when Sen Sanders says it, it seems to really be about the american people....the majority, the working class which Marx defines as

— a class of laborers, who live only so long as they find work, and who find work only so long as their labor increases capital.
