Q: How can people protect themselves? Masks?

A: As always, people should wash their hands frequently, Besser said. In the past, the CDC has said there isn't conclusive evidence to support using face masks. Surgical masks are designed to prevent the wearer from spreading germs, but may also catch large respiratory droplets if someone sneezes nearby. In a 2007 statement, the CDC said these masks could be worn if someone needs to go to a crowded place, such as a grocery store, for a short time. N95 respirator masks filter out 95% of particles to prevent the wearer from breathing them in. These must be fitted properly around the nose to create a seal, so they can make breathing difficult.

Something weird about all this, the guy in Mexico died the day after Obama left Mexico, so he was sick already. The Mexican Government is hiding, blocking people from seeing, talking to victims? Roche is the main Co with Tamaflu, Sweden, Tamaflu does nothing but stop flu just help the symptoms, Investors have a money making operatunity to over hype or blow this all out of proportion. Earthquake 6.0 hits over one hundred miles south of Mexico City, normal for that part of the world, no injuries. One person hospitalized US, from Flu, the rest are all minor cases.

The Media will have a field day with this story, blowing it out of proportion will just bring more viewers, giving you part of the story to entice you in. I really think Mexico already had a huge flu problem, like the guy dieing from pneumonia, not one autopsy proving anything.

1. I want to see someone diagram this sentence:
"Roche is the main Co with Tamaflu, Sweden, Tamaflu does nothing but stop flu just help the symptoms, Investors have a money making operatunity to over hype or blow this all out of proportion."

Funny thing I've noticed, the more emotional I am when typing the less I care about grammar.

2. Thanks for posting this info about masks
Wear them only for a very short time. Put it on in the car, wear it in the grocery, take them off outside the car, and stick them in a plastic bag you brought with you for later disposal. Don't put your hands anywhere near your face until you can wash them.

If you're going to be in crowds for a prolonged period, bring fresh masks.

A wet mask contaminated with droplets from other people will eventually contaminate you and they do get wet quickly, as any nurse can tell you.

Personally, I think the greatest protection a mask will afford in a pandemic is keeping you from touching your nose or mouth with your fingers.
