Good cartoon today from "User Friendly" with a nice cut at Asscroft.

from the UF FAQ
<2.22> Q. Can I mirror the strips?
No, please don't. When you build your own mirror, you're denying us the page views and are hurting us. <2.23> Q. But isn't cutting down on your traffic a good thing with your huge bandwidth costs?
It's admittedly a double-edged sword. Although we do pay a large chunk of change every month for traffic and hosting, I do believe we can make a go of this and there is value in having good web metrics. The advertisers are attracted to this. <2.23.1> Q. What about pulling down the cartoon to my desktop or my own web page?
PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS. If you absolutely must because of some weird network restrictions, then pull the ads down as well. What you're essentially doing here is denying me pageviews which translate to saleable banner impressions. You're getting content that you enjoy without giving back. Just because it's more convenient for you to do so doesn't make it ethical.
