Justice for the Bush Cabal
Those of us who believe that George Bush and his neocon cronies are a cabal of sadistic, corrupt pathological liars like to fantasize a bit. It always starts with a crisp January morning and a regime change in Washington, but then our flights of fancy turn to the unfinished business of justice.

God knows we would be grateful enough if we were to wake up one morning and find a head of cabbage had staged a coup and was now busily signing executive orders and appointing inanimate objects to replace Rumsfeld, Cheney and John Ashcroft. A cabbage might not provide excellence in leadership, but at least it isn't trigger-happy.

But after the celebration is over, something appropriate still needs to be done with the Bush Bunch. And so we ask ourselves, what would be a fitting sentence for these social deviants?

1. They will go back to the think tanks
Back to the AEI, the Heritage Foundation, PNAC and some will serve as Fox News "contributors". If they are voted out this fall I will remind them that they told us for four years that the patriotic thing to do is to support the president.

2. That is a good way to turn a phrase.
"Hey, you guys told us we were unpatriotic because we disagreed and did not support President Bush. You said that the Patriotic thing to do is support the President. Now you won't support President Kerry? Hypocritical."

3. Apply the full weight of the Patriot act to them
They may be held without counsel indefinatly.
Then repeal the Patriot Act and let the civil and federal courts deal with them.

When Bush is at the end of his rope - who is at the other end?
It is damn well possible * would make a better martyr than a leader.

4. the lot of them...
..should be forced to disgorge all ill-gotten gains recieved since taking public office. Taking away their money would hurt them the most- true justice demands it.
