Headed for Jonestown
Headed for Jonestown

opednews.com

For OpEdNews: David Glenn Cox - Writer

Many of the problems we face are rather simple, but the serious problem we face is the idol worship of globalism. The golden calf of globalism says unrestricted, free market capitalism will raise all boats. The fact is that most of the boats we are competing against are slave ships. Toyota opens auto plants in the United States, while GM opens auto plants in China.

Toyota buys small parts, light bulbs, window glass, and side mirrors locally, but keeps inhouse the high value items such as engines, transaxles, and transmissions. That is where the profit is. Two years ago Toyota gave all of their employees a bonus, all of their Japanese employees that is. GM is the second largest automaker in China and GM manufactures everything for their Chinese vehicles in China, so the net gain for the US economy from GM in China is zero.

Still zero.
I guess some messages are more commendable than others.
Like some people are more equal than others in the global market.

5. Oh yes, I like that Anthony did that!
He's such a good . . . good boy.
And it's snowing on the corn field, on all the fields.
And . . . and the harvest will be . . . good.

3. Good article, gets to the heart of the matter
"Right now, we're standing near the largest solar electric plant of its kind in the entire Western Hemisphere," President Obama said following a tour of Nellis Air Force Base's 14-megawatt solar photovoltaic array. "More than 72,000 solar panels built on part of an old landfill provide 25 percent of the electricity for the 12,000 people who live and work here at Nellis. That's the equivalent of powering about 13,200 homes during the day. It's a project that will save the U.S. Air Force, which is the largest consumer of energy in the federal government, nearly $1 million a year."

The solar cells came from a Chinese-owned company, and until we can throw down the gold calf of free trade, we cannot make any progress. The three most prosperous economies on the planet are Germany, Japan, and China, and they all got that way through manufacturing. The idol worshippers tell us to have faith and we shall reach Jerusalem, but the truth is we are headed for Jonestown

Funny how no one brought up that fact, we import everything and then complain about the poor economy. Race to the Bottom.

8. If you cant flesh out an alternative, how to persuade?
We, the left have not offered a real alternative yet. Man doesnt have one. When we do, all might change fast.

Work on that alternative.
