Ed Garvey: Right wing now hijacking PBS by moving to control content
Along with Ed Garvey, I'm infuriated that *'s administration are getting their way by shoving conservative programming down PBS's throat. As far as I'm concerned, if PBS doesn't have the wherewithal to stand up to this aggression, they've received the last pre-Reagan dime from me.

1. They already seem to have destroyed NPR
Or, someone has. It has veered so far right I have a hard time listening anymore. It is only natural that PBS should be next.

3. Please don't confuse PBS with WPR.
I continue to donate to WPR. Their local programming is excellent. Just heard an interview with David Corn on the Plame story this morning, for example. Kathleen Dunn, Joy Cardin, Ben Merens, Dave Berkman--all of them do great interviews.

4. It's happening...
Check out "Big Bird Flies Right" in last week's (maybe the week-before-last's) New Yorker. Sad.

5. I stopped donating to pbs years ago - now I donate directly to
the programs I support, like local programs and NOW and NOVA by buying their dvds.
