Obama's Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Year
— Barack Obama's terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year got off to a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad start. . .

Americans were in a foul mood, and Democrats got the blame. . .

Has harmony come to the capital? Hardly. Obama likened the Republicans to hostage-takers.

But it's a new world now. He dealt.

2. "Except without the tedious protections for working Americans"
I wish Skinner would ban contentless snarky assertions for a day or so, it is just wearing me out.

P.S, You realize TIME created that graphic don't you? Or do you think Obama made that photoshop?

3. I figured it was Time
I saw their moniker on the picture and deduced it. I'm very clever.

As to content or lack thereof: do you really think Obama values working Americans more than, say, bankers? What outcomes-based evidence would lead you to believe this?

4. Oh, lemme, lemme, that's an easy one.
You can tell by all the bankers that have gone to prison for fraud and gaming the system and all the banks that have been prevented from foreclosing on hard-pressed homeowners.

Oh, wait...

5. Honestly Manny I am too burnt out to discuss this with you right now.
I know you knew it was Time, but I was unsure why you were using a magazine cover to slam Obama. Why stop there, how about the terrorist fist pump cover?

As to my burnout - let me tell you about it, because I like you and I think I owe it to you:

I have seen way to many threads the last few days with the most preposterous assertions about Obama and the stuff going on during the lameduck on DU these past few days,

- it would have been better if McCain had been elected, the Senate would passed things more easily
- Obama is a homophobe, he worked on DADT repeal because he wants to lure gays into the military
- Obama has a secret plan to do this. Obama secretly wants this.
- Presenting Speculative OP-EDs as if they were fact
- Reprinting material from right wing conspiracy theorists because the crazy right wing conspiracy article had thing in it that fit the "Obama is Evil" narrative

I like to discuss issues, talk about policies, , . but the heavy duty conspiracy theories and demonizing just don't do it for me. It has gotten to be such a bubble here. All of us want the same things, but the level of noise is wearing me out.

6. I Appreciate your candor.
I'm kind of burnt too.

Let's both rest up and do this some other time.
