Ron Reagan on Cheney: "He just stood there, letting her flounder..."
From a good article, a question about his father's funeral:

QUESTIONS FOR RONALD P. REAGAN
The Son Also Rises
Interview by DEBORAH SOLOMON
Published: June 27, 2004

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/06/27/magazine/27QUESTIONS.html

How did your mother feel about being ushered to her seat by President Bush?

"Well, he did a better job than Dick Cheney did when he came to the rotunda. I felt so bad. Cheney brought my mother up to the casket, so she could pay her respects. She is in her 80's, and she has glaucoma and has trouble seeing. There were steps, and he left her there. He just stood there, letting her flounder. I don't think he's a mindful human being. That's probably the nicest way I can put it."

Hey, does this telling description surprise anyone?

2. My father refers to Cheney as "the devil"...
and my dad is a very calm, rational man. I have never ever heard him refer to anyone in his way before.
Father knows best

5. I hate Dick Cheney, too..............
along with the rest of his crooked administration and I didn't watch any of the Reagasm. But, maybe he didn't know Nancy Reagan had vision problems and was literally stranded at the casket until somebody came to get her.

6. Cheney is a dick.
Although I hated RR's politics, I sure did feel sorry for Nancy. She looked so lost and alone. What a dick Cheney is to not even have made sure that an 80+ year old widow who has poor sight could get back to her seat after viewing her deceased husband's casket.

Cheney is an ass and this just shows that he is an ass personally and politically.

11. Does anyone know if Ron Reagan ("Jr") is a democrat?
I know he's a true blue lib'ral.
I know he didn't vote for Chimpy.

Does anyone know if he's a Dem, an Independent, anything?

Please and thank you.

12. Hes Liberal
He's liberal, thats for certain. He doesn't seem reluctant to bash conservatives, but I can't see him endorsing or supporting a Democrat.

ITs well known to most people with a pulse, which excludes Sean Hannity, since robot thugs dont have a pulse, that the Reagans hate the Bushes, so perhaps it could be more of a personal thing than a true political one.

13. Ron on Larry King
Larry asked him if he will vote for J. Kerry. Ron said he would vote for "any viable candidate running against Bush." Then Larry asked if he would vote for Nadar. Ron smiled and said, "any viable candidate". Meaning Nadar isn't "viable". So, one can guess that he is voting for Kerry. Ron did vote for Nadar in 2000. He leans toward the Green Party. From other statements he has made it is real obvious that he has much disdain for BushCo.

15. I didn't watch much of the funeral - so how did Nancy get back to
her seat? Just curious, did someone come to her rescue or did she have to stumble her way back?

Proves again what a dick Cheney is.

16. Exact words.
King: Do you have thoughts on the war?

Reagan: Sure, I have thoughts on the war.

King: And what do you think?

Reagan: And I think we lied our way into the war.

King: You think it's a mistake?

Reagan: Absolutely, a terrible mistake. Terrible foreign policy error. We didn't have to do it. It was optional. And we were lied to. The American public was lied to about WMD, the connection between Osama bin Laden and Saddam, which is virtually nonexistent except for fleeting contacts. But they're still trying to pull that one off now, Cheney and all are out there flogging that.

King: Can I gather from that, that you will not support this president?

Reagan: No, I won't.

King: Will you support his opponent?

Reagan: I will vote for whoever the viable candidate is who can defeat George W. Bush, yes.

King: So, you might vote for Ralph Nader?

Reagan: If he were a viable candidate I might.
