No job? It's your fault, US Republican Cain says
No job? Out of money? Don't blame the rich, says Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain -- it's all your fault.

"Don't blame Wall Street, don't blame the big banks, if you don't have a job and you're not rich, blame yourself!" he said.

"It is not a person's fault because they succeeded, it is a person's fault if they failed. And so this is why I don't understand these demonstrations and what is it that they're looking for."

"I don't have facts to back this up," Cain told The Journal, "but I happen to believe that these demonstrations are planned and orchestrated to distract from the failed policies" of the Democratic government of President Barack Obama.

unbelievable...amazing this can pass as serious commentary by a presidential candidate. Of course like most tired republican mantra's, it doesn't require facts..

Talking about jobs...What exactly have the tax breaks for the top 1% and corporations gotten us for jobs in the past decade? just outsourcing and offshoring of profits. And a congress that wants to cut spending for education and development for the jobs that do and can exist. i have an idea.. Lets raise taxes on the rich, banks and corporations back to reasonable levels UNTIL they actually create jobs for Americans instead of continuing tax breaks that have not resulted in jobs. They clearly need a monetary incentive. Then they get their tax break IF an only IF they create jobs.

4. Everyone's just got to pull themselves up by the bootstraps: the multi-trillion fraud
perpetrated upon the economy is no detriment for everyone pulling themselves up by the bootstraps, for everyone can be a multi-millionaire if they just work hard enough. PS How did any bozo who dissembles such utter male bovine excrement ever become a CEO? :patriot:

7. It's hard to keep up with them.
Back ten years ago someone made the mistake to complain to a Republican shock jock (I think it was Limbaugh) that he wasn't making enough money to cover his expenses in his current job. So the shock jock told him to get a job that made more.

The point was completely missed that good jobs were hard to find.

And now, they have upped the ante and claim that the lack of jobs are still not the rich's fault.

Hey, the whole point of trickle down economy is that the rich ARE responsible for creating jobs. I guess Cain just called the bluff.

8. so it's not the fault of the rich if they don't use the
lowered tax rates and similar 'trickle down' to create jobs for the less rich

NICE ONE

give the rich tax cuts with motivation it creates jobs
then
blame the poor because the rich DIDN'T

almost as nice as borking the economy and people and then having the people pay for the bail out
