David Squires Most angelenos know LAPD can be awesome when it really matters and we would be screwed without em.

Its just a few bad apples that really screw up their image.

Frisco Aldana Please continue to show respect and appreciation for our Los Angeles Police Officers; they must have loved ones who are unemployed or loosing their incomes, benefits and pensions just like the rest of us...

Matthew Kenneth Sears There job is to protect and serve the public and our majority interests, and while some may not seem to, the majority do and they deserve our respect. The bottom line is that they put their lives on the line everyday to keep us safe.

Johnathen David Duran Way too much excitement over this. You realize they drop supplies all over the middle east to bolster support for the US presence. A war for hearts and minds. etc. etc. This is not support, this is not love or appreciation. This is strictly propaganda of the highest oerder. Don't fall for it.

Nikki Cross the LAPD i've come into contact with at City Hall have been friendly, and even heard some chatting with occupiers as fellow Americans. I think we're lucky to not be arrested and beaten as in NYC. Hopefully this good-will continues

Julio Marquez The cops are on our side that's why they terrorize us in our neighborhoods and profile us walking down the street while upholding the state and capitalism all together. Yup how mighty kind of them ;)

3. I don't even remember the new police chief's name, but this change in LAPD
for the better seemed to start with Bill Bratton's tenure.

It ain't your daddy's LAPD, that's for sure.

Mine was growing up with Jack Webb in Dragnet and One Adam 12... Of course that was cause my dad watched those also..
