Bush's lies should cost him presidential election
http://www.marionstar.com/news/stories/20040809/opinion/1010279.html

Quote:
I hate to interrupt the ongoing discussions over scripture, abortion, Fahrenheit 9/11 and gay marriage that routinely take place in the Marion Star letters page, but this is a story many area residents seem to have missed: Your President, George W. Bush, lied to you!

While Tony Blair, the Prime Minister of Great Britain and Bush's lapdog in the so-called "war on terror" accepted "personal responsibility" for pre-Iraq war intelligence failures, Bush continues to justify the United States invasion of Iraq through continued lies, distortion and historical revision.

Weapons of mass destruction? Nope. An Iraqi link to al Qaeda? Nope again. Iraqi involvement on 9/11? Still no. Did the United States go to war under false pretenses or more directly; did George W. Bush take the country to war over a lie? Yes.

But don't take my word for it: Check out the report from the Senate Intelligence Committee on pre-war intelligence or look at the findings from the 9/11 commission. Iraq was no threat to the United States. 1,000 United States troops and tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis have died over make believe information.

(snip)

Try as hard as he might, Mr. Bush and his puppet master Dick Cheney can't turn Hussein into bin Laden. It was bin Laden who attacked our country and it is the 6-foot-five-inch Saudi on kidney dialysis that continues to evade U.S. capture.

While bin Laden plotted his attack, Bush spent 42 percent of his first eight months on the job on vacation. While New York City burned, Bush sat bewildered in a Florida classroom reading My Pet Goat, waiting for someone (anyone) to tell him what to do.

Eric Furniss resides in Marion. He hopes the publication of this column does not result in him being detained at Guantanamo.

6. Bush needs a new job.
What's all the whining about folks, gore should have won the electoral vote as well as the popular vote by much more, but too many didn't bother to vote. Please dint miss this election, if Georgie boy gets back in remember he has his finger on the button and he has made it clear he intends to use it.

I have made Georgie boy a few billboards he could place around the country, well maybe not because they quote the truth. Oh well, we can enjoy them anyway, take a look.
