The department of homeland fearmongering is starting to remind me of the American Cancer Society in the '70s & 80's. They issued sooo many reports of things that cause cancer that they lost most of their effectiveness. They failed to realize that to people, when EVERYTHING causes cancer, than NOTHING causes cancer.

It has become so obvious that ridge has become just a shill to scare people when his boss is in trouble. The saddest part is that when my wife and I lived in PA, we considered him to be a decent governor. Now, I'm through with him. I no longer consider him to be among the ever shrinking ranks of "honorable" republicans.

I keep remembering how dick morris advised the cheney bush administration that the only way to win this election was to scare the hell out of the public.

BTW, you have long been my favorite contributor here. I'm sure I'm not alone in that view. That makes you VERY respected by a pretty selective audience. Nothing to sneeze at!
