I needed to read that. It expresses similar feelings about the new depths to which Rove is taking the bots at the convention.

I also noticed that the Plaid Atter commented on the hilarious new talking point about "catastrophic success." Oh man, when I first heard that I thought I'd never recover from laughing.

2. I'm not sure I agree entirely.

The article says of the swift boat ads: "The problem for them that this particular load of horseshit splattered not just Kerry but every other American veteran who has ever been wounded in combat; and we're now seeing the collateral damage."

I don't think that's true. Even though the ads are nothing more than lies, people are beginning to question whether or not John Kerry is telling the truth about what happened on that river in Vietnam. And Karl Rove couldn't care less if the shit sticks to every other American veteran, as long as it sticks to Kerry. Rove's approach to destroying his opponents is the same that Bush and Rumsfeld used in bombing Baghdad: It doesn't matter how many people you kill as long as you hit your target.

I agree with KidA in that there are many lazy and/or ignorant people in this country on whom Rove's tricks still work quite well, but a great article, none the less.
