THE full horror of the Russian school atrocity began to emerge yesterday as traumatised children told horrific tales of stabbed babies and brutal rapes.

It has also emerged that scores of the 323 who died - including many children - had been shot in the back.

While despairing soldiers and rescue workers moved among the growing pile of body bags, it was revealed that an 18-month-old baby had been repeatedly stabbed by a black-clad terrorist who had run out of ammunition.

in what possible way could slaughtering hundreds of children help the Chechnyan people? A school isn't even an important economic target, all they did was needlessly kill children for no strategic or tactical gain. Do they not realize they just handed Putin the perfect excuse to ethnically cleanse Chechnya? Do they not care that tens of thousands, (at least), of their own people are about to be killed?

I believe on News Hour they mentioned that similar shock value tactics were used I think he said at the beginning of the 19th century by similar.. crap .. i can't remember ..but none of the experts could fathom a why...

They also mentioned that not all of the rebels are necessarily islamic- I know nothing about russian history.

My personnal opinion is it's the evolution of war.. that when you leave groups of people with no power to govern thier own lives by withdrawing their voice completely from any form of discussion .. they go nuts..how can you accept the values of another reality if you don't know they exsist.

Perhaps these people thought the point was to go for the "maximum terror" (after all, who wouldn't do, literally anything, if the lives of innocent children are at stake--maybe that was the misguided rationale) or whatever, but there's no sense, no sympathy, no *anything* to be gained by it. Even russian media has said that Putin's own ss was responsible for the 2 Moscow apartment blasts which killed 300 people a few years ago. As has been widely noted, nothing about the school incident makes sense (just like it defied logic that the 'chechyna' terrs blew up those apartments w/out any warning!...a 800 pound gorilla that received considerable attention in the then russian still free media)...
Fact is, we have no idea what happened, and the media doesn't either. What is known is that lies are an easy way to advance knuckle dragger agenda....just like they were used following 911.
