The author prepared two documents, one with MSWord and one on a Selectric Composer typewriter, and then compares them.

I performed this experiment in typography because I have been interested for years in the history and technology of type, not for any partisan political purposes, except to the degree that the public interest is better served by truth than by falsehoods.

1. I like it when PCmag laughs at media- not convincing evidence..inauthentic

"Of course, none of this demonstrates that the documents dated from the early 1970s are in fact genuine. It only demonstrates that the fact that the disputed documents can be reproduced in Microsoft Word is not convincing evidence that they are inauthentic."
