MILWAUKEE, Sept. 14 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry Tuesday pledged to fight for America's seniors who have become increasingly squeezed by the wrong choices and failed policies of President George W. Bush.

After pledging to protect seniors four years ago, Bush has wrongly chosen to put drug companies, HMOs and insurance companies above seniors' interests. As a result of his choices, seniors have been squeezed more than ever before by rising costs and low income.

Kerry said today he is committed to fighting for seniors and pledged to move America in a new direction with a plan that protects Medicare and Social Security and offers seniors relief from rising prescription drug costs.

"On everything from prescription drugs to retirement security to Medicare and Social Security, George W. Bush has made the wrong choices and seniors are paying the price," Kerry said. "With a dragging economy and skyrocketing costs, he's driving our seniors right out of the middle class. So seniors are getting squeezed like never before but for big drug companies, these truly are the golden years."<snip>
