Washington's secret nuclear war - horrifying DU expose
(quote)
Illegal weapons of mass destruction have not only been found in Iraq but have been used against Iraqis and have even killed US troops.

But Washington and its allies have tried to cover up this outrage because the chief culprit is the US itself, argue American and other experts trying to expose what they say is a war crime.

The WMD in question is depleted uranium (DU). A radioactive by-product of uranium enrichment, DU is used to coat ammunition such as tank shells and "bunker busting" missiles because its density makes it ideal for piercing armour.

"Many children are born with no eyes, no limbs, or tumours protruding from their mouths and eyes," Miraki told Aljazeera.net. Some newborns are barely recognisable as human, he says. Many do not survive.

This does not bode well for the future of that region. Get these criminals out of office, people!

2. They and others have much to answer for.
This is what pretenders to the throne do: Steal the leadership roles and get into military mis adventures. No one is willing to touch this in the media.

3. Who is behind Al Jazeera broadcasting and website...
...The People Behind the Al Jazeera Channel Military operations in Iraq indirectly helped the Arabic-language television channel Al Jazeera to confirm its media hold over the Arab world. The channel is emerging as an ever powerful counter-weight to Saudi Arabian influence in such forums as the Gulf Cooperation Council. But if the channel can voice its opinions quite freely it nonetheless remains in the hands of the Al Thani family that rules over Qatar.

6. this is an issue that Kerry could make waves with . . .
first, the use of DU weapons is a violation of international law . . .

second, their use violates treaties confirmed by the Senate, which means it also violates US law . . .

third, their use contaminates the land, water, and air of Iraq, and affects Iraqis for generations . . .

fourth . . . and from a political perspective, most important . . . their use inflicts irreparable damage on US troops, damaging their DNA and affecting their spouses and children as well . . .

imo, John Kerry should crucify Bush for the use of DU weapons in Iraq and Afghanistan . . . (unless, of course, he approves of it . . . in which case I have nothing more to say) . . .

Shocking report reveals local troops
may be victims of america's high-tech weapons

By JUAN GONZALEZ
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

Four soldiers from a New York Army National Guard company serving in Iraq are contaminated with radiation likely caused by dust from depleted uranium shells fired by U.S. troops, a Daily News investigation has found.
They are among several members of the same company, the 442nd Military Police, who say they have been battling persistent physical ailments that began last summer in the Iraqi town of Samawah.
