A step forward.
The United States military is an awesome destructive force.
It symbolizes our lack of skills in diplomacy.
It symbolizes the world's brutality.
It symbolizes the current cave man like society every human being lives in.
It symbolizes imperialism.
It symbolizes nothing.

Only when weapons across the world are not only lowered or destroyed, but truly thought to be useless, an instrument of the past. Then, and only then will the United States and the rest of the world take a step forward. Until then I will not vote for a president who sends sons and daughters of American parents into war precariously.

Any man or woman who has seen war and it's effects, such as John Kerry, does not just regret participation in such such an event, but despises the word and all that it encompasses.

The United States is suppose to be the beacon for whom all is lost. The actual United States governmental structures are being imitated by nations all over the world. Our economic freedoms are being expressed from different peoples around the world as well. The United States was the first to do several things. The first to land a man on the moon. The first to create a true democracy, where every citizen can vote. The first country/confederate to have a truly free land. (discloses present; ex()Patriot Act.)

Why can't the United States also be the first to look at it's own economic policies and see if they really do infringe on other countries cultures and ways of life? Why can't the United States be the first to meet with the freedom fighters i.e. terrorists, and discuss topics of relevance. Why can't the United States lower it's weapons?

Defenseless? Irrational. Unintelligent. Incomprehensible. It's the only way to secure a brighter future not just got America, but for the rest of the world. So please let's all take a step forward in the right direction. (Right as Fitting, proper, or appropriate, not referenced to a political spectrum)

This goal is extremely far away. But we can all start by electing John Kerry the President of the United States.
