It should be the reverse.
Consider that less than nine weeks after Bush was briefed about surface to air missiles at a G8 Summit in Genoa, Italy, Mohammad Atta slammed his hi-jacked jet into the World Trade Center. Italian security was so concerned about hi-jacked jets being used for attacks they decided on SAMs.
Less than nine weeks prior to 911 ..........
However, when informed of the first crash in NY Bush never made a connection. Any normal mind would have. Any other leader would have considered the possibility.
Even worse is the fact that he was warned over and over again about the probability of al Queida attacks in the US during the summer of 2001.
He never made the connection.................
Kerry should pose this question publicly - "Mr Bush, when informed of the first crash into the WTC, did it even remotely occur to you that it might possibly be a terrorist act?"
Later as Bush walked into the school, where the now infamous film was made of him in a dumbfounded stupor, he was overheard by several journalists to jest "boy, thats one bad pilot".
Are these the actions of a leader ? To jest about a devastating plane crash, where he had to know hundreds if not thousands were killed ? To tell his National Security Adviser that he simply did not want to be bothered with the warnings during the summer of 2001-
"I'm tired of swatting flies"
If the Kerry campaign or Truth Out fails to emphasize this then the truth about the performance of this dunce in the WH will never really be comprehended by the electorate.
The reverse should be the case as far as 911 and Bush's ratings go.
