Sean Hannity Fails as a Journalist

On Monday Evening, September 20th I was channel surfing and found myself viewing a portion of the 'Hannity and Colmes Show'. (Trust me, I checked all my movie channels to see if there was anything good on first, but there was nothing I wanted to see so I was channel surfing)
Sean Hannity attacked Theresa Heinz Kerry by claiming that she called detractors 'Scumbags'. He was referring to a 'New Yorker' Article that was apparently recently published. He was hammering her saying that a first lady shouldn't be using language like this (I guess scumbag from a first lady is bad but 'Go F__K Yourself' from the Vice President is Good)
Well anyway, it turns out that the 'New Yorker' article took what Theresa Heinz Kerry said out of context and she never said what Sean Hannity claimed she said. According to the Pittsburgh Channel 4 investigation they report:

PITTSBURGH -- The new issue of the New Yorker magazine contains a detailed profile of Teresa Heinz Kerry, wife of Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry.
One comment getting attention in the article is a claim that Heinz Kerry called her detractors "scumbags" during an interview last April with Channel 4 Action News anchor Sally Wiggin.
A check of that tape shows that while Heinz Kerry did use the word, it came in the context of discussing what her son Chris called the "noble art of public service."
"I believe there is a nobility in public service. I believe every citizen can be a public servant. And should be," said Heinz Kerry.
Sally Wiggin asked, "Do you think some of the nobility has gone out of public service?"
Heinz Kerry said, "Oh, there is a lot of scumbags everywhere. Not just in politics. In everything. There are a lot of immoral people everywhere."
The author of the New Yorker article was allowed by Heinz Kerry to observe the original interview as it was taped.
The magazine did contact Channel 4 Action News to confirm the quote, but the context in the final article gave different shading to the meaning of the remarks.
So here we are, on the very evening of Dan Rather Stepping up to the Confession Podium and admit he was duped, and throughout the Cable News outlets, reporter after reporter, commentator after commentator, are continuously suggesting that Dan Rather is done and should back it in for using documents that turn out to be forgeries in a report, Sean Hannity is shooting off his mouth using an article based on non factual statements. Sean Hannity and Fox News FAILED TO INVESTIGATE FULLY THE AUTHENTICITY OF THIS REPORT !! -- ISN'T THAT WHAT DAN RATHER IS BEING PERSECUTED FOR?
Is Sean Hannity going to be man enough to admit he was wrong? Should Sean Hannity pack it in? How many other times has Sean Hannity supplied reports or comments based on information that may be been not true? How can America now Trust Sean? Should Fox News Cable Producers be fired for allowing this? How can Fox News be Trusted anymore?
I mean come on, the hypocrisy is getting so deep that it's seeping in over my fly fishing rubber overalls.
