Found this info in The Plain Dealer this weekend. They are suggesting verifying you are registered because of the massive number of people registrating to vote, they are having problems with lost registrations, registration in the wrong county, etc.

1. I went there earlier

to verify but the page was not working correctly. I then called the number that was on the page to talk directly to someone at the election board who verified my status for me over the phone. She was pleasant and helpful and I thanked her for her help.

I had trouble with the website, but when I called she was nice and helpful.

The woman I talked to was nice and she looked up my registration and all was OK. I have been registered for many years though.
