JUST IN: SAUDI'S ACCEPT DECISION!! THEY UNDERSTAND
http://msnbc.com/news/943459.asp

(snip)
WASHINGTON, July 29 — The Saudi foreign minister said Tuesday that he was disappointed that President Bush would not declassify 28 pages from the congressional report on the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, but he said he understood Bush’s reasoning and did not dispute the decision.

July 29, 2003, Shortly after the Foreign Minister was heard to exclaim, "Allah is great, write Mr. Cheney a check now."

5. Indeed
but even though they re-write movies as they go along during production, at least they test market a movie before they release it to the general public.

Bleh, a curse on his moustache.

12. Unwanted rerun
Edited on Tue Jul-29-03 08:44 PM by Fozzledick
Yeah, I've always felt that the Bush* regime was like watching a rerun of a movie I've already seen - entitled "THE RISE AND FALL OF THE THIRD REICH".

3. How big of him!
Wow, that's really great of him to not seek to declassify information that implicates his country. What a hero.

That's a particularly creepy photo of him, too.

4. You realize this was a big setup, don't you?
Now Bush can claim he "stuck to his guns", "made a firm decision", etc; and the Saudi's can say, "We have nothing to hide, we wanted it to be public, but regretably it must remain secret."

8. They never really wanted it released anyways
They asked to help Bush.By demanding the info be released they make it sound like there's nothing there to implicate them, that have nothing to be guilty of.It takes the whole angle away, and makes Bush's reason that it's to protect intelligence sound more likely.

By saying they now "understand" Bush's position further legitimizes his stand.

It's been a dog and pony show from the get go.

11. They played the same game on Iraq...
...the Saudi (royal family) saying they were 'against' attacking Iraq...but then said nothing when it happened.

- Keep in mind that 99 percent of the Bush Administration* are professional criminals and con artists. They've been lying and getting away with it for literally decades.

13. Will it wash with the public?
Edited on Tue Jul-29-03 10:30 PM by 9215
This is quintessential Psy-ops. ie. Not only are the Saudis not supporting terrorists: "Why would they call for a release of info if they did?" :eyes: ,but they are "courageously" taking the public relations hit out of interest for US national security. Such good guys. :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:.

15. Something I thought of earlier today
Was sthis minister met with rice for about an hour after his visit with scumbag. They both came out concluding that (i can't remember some saudi government whip) was going to be investigated. That will be the excuse that they use to not declassify that part of the report. You can guarantee we won't find out for sure before the 04 election

I'm just surprised that in the midst of wrangling over the unredacted document, Condi didn't come running into the room to smack somebody with a steel folding chair.

20. so, uh, he couldn't have CALLED to get the info?
*****'

Surprise! Well, at least we know that the Saudis aren't the culprits. They would *never* push to have declassification if they are guilty. Oh no. /sarcasm off

21. This reminds me of a cartoon
that was about the old Mr Whipple (Remember Charmin bathroom tissue - 60's commercial)..

In the cartoon a man is pointing at the TV and saying, "Look! Mr Whipple told Her not to squeeze the Charmin and Now HE'S doing it!"

God they're dumb.. do they think we are fucking PEASANTS?

I'm not the one wearing an Italian Restaurant tablecloth on MY head pal..
