Buchanan railing Bush on MSNBC

He's doing a great job of tearing up the president.

He says the Dems hands are tied on the immigration issue.

3. NO...he hasn't. He's one of the few consistent pols out there.
...regardless of what anyone may think of his views. At least he's honest, and he's NOT a media whore.

8. I respect Buchanan

I respect Pat Buchanan for being honest about being a prickish conservative.

What we are seeing though is that most conservatives NEVER did care about fiscal discipline. They were just pissed because Democrats had the house and they used it to make programs that garnered votes.

Now the Republicans are doing the same thing. Excpet they are giving most of the money to wealthy assholes. It can't last forever.

Regarding immigrants, I'm not entirely certain that the Democrats hands are tied. Democrats are still 100% tight with labor. And labor has ALWAYS hated excessive immigration.

The key is distinguishing between LEGAL immigration and ILLEGAL immigration. And it ISN'T unreasonable to suggest that someone who is an illegal occupant of this country should NOT receive civil services paid for by people who DO pay taxes (however small).

He hasn't changed, but he still is an American and
hasn't joined the Fourth Reich. I think this is why he jumped ship in 2000. He probably could see who these people are.

4. Naw, he's just an old-fashioned conservative.
He's not a neo-con, but the kind that really doesn't want to spend money unnecessarily. Plus, he's an isolationist. I believe he's also interested in legislating radical right-wing Christianity. Sort of a mixed bag.

6. He's also anti-semitic. Don't forget that. He
wrote a book saying that Hitler's atrocities weren't anywhere near what was claimed.

12. Well, When He Is Able To Annunciate A Coherent Thought...
he usually bashes RW's as best he can. He may be a great political strategist (really?) but man, he's a terrible communicator. I convinced that he is always on TV to make Dem's look bad.

Edited on Tue Jan-20-04 11:57 PM by Stephanie
Except that he's going to siphon off the most ignorant, bigoted vote from Bush JR. In that effort, I wish him all power.
