Administration's tide is turning
Is it just me? There are several signs of a declining popularity of the Bush junta, but the on I like best is the increase in talk-radio callers vowing that they will not vote for Bush in the upcoming election.
I have a theory where talk-radio callers are early indicators for changing mass-opinion.
Does anybody else notice this trend that is not showing up in the polls yet?

1. I think people are soo pissed
they simply are not talking about * any more. It doesn't do any good to get angry.

2. I agree 100%
My co-worker, a conservative minister's wife is most definitely NOT voting for the unelected fraud. She did the last time. When they lose people like her, they're done.

5. Thank You.
I don't agree, but your hopefulness pumps me up, give me hope, too.

THANK YOU!

4. Nah...
What you hear on talk radio is 1% of 1% that actually gets through onto the air, so it's not a good indicator.

Talk radio blarred for eight years abiout Clinot and he was elected twice.

What bums me out is this: Americans are dying for a lie in Iraq, the WMD INvestigator said there never were any weapons, and talk shows protect Bush by talking and laughing at Dean for cheering his supportes!

Not even the 9/11 commission can get coverage, even when Bush is trying to stop the investigation, and that's a bigger story than 9/11 itself!

9. You misunderstood
I don't say there is a trend on talk radio. As a matter of fact, Limbaugh, Hannity and Ingraham go out of their way to support the president on all issues.
No, the callers, these hard-line wingnuts (yes, 1% of 1% if that) that bother to have their opinions heard on AM. It is their tone that is changing.

I think its interesting. My crystal ball is buzzing.

7. I think we're gonna see the media play down Bush
until after the Dem convention, or possibly the end of Summer.

Shape him as the underdog.

This tactic will give the Dems a 'false' sense of confidence and at the same time scare the rightwingers into getting to the voting booth.

By October/November Bush will be 'The Comeback Kid'

8. I See It Most On CSpan
I hear it over and over again on the Public Affairs segments of CSpan when callers voice their concerns. I figgure it like this too, if those folks are going to the trouble to get a call through to CSpan (you ever try to get through?) they absolutly must be saying the same thing to their friends, and I'll bet that most Republican's friends are Republicans. This is very good sign and it is also much more prevelent that I could ever have hoped for.

10. I agree. I don't generally listen to right wing radio, but
lately I just can't resist. It's simply hilarious.

I remember when it was nothing but right wingers shouting jingoistic bumper sticker on-liners. A big republican masturbation fest.

Now, whenever they talk about Bush or Iraq, I hear long stretches of nothing but criticism. Even guys like Hannity are lucky to get more than 2/3 of their callers supporting them- and Hannity is a total cheerleading joke.

12. The Passion Has Switched Sides
and is clearly anti-Bush now. Polls and loyalties lag. They will eventually follow if they keep hearing the repeated anti-Bush messages.

Contrary to what the Democratic party leaders thought, a long, drawn-out primary may actually be good for Democratic chances in November. The front pages will be filled with attacks on Bush instead of presidential photo-ops. The media are loving the horse race so far.
