We raised the question last week of just how out of touch with reality George W. Bush is. Remember - he said he did not read newspapers, and instead relies on his staff to inform him of what is going on in the world.

Bush has very little unscripted contact with the world, and it shows each time he finds himself in a situation in which he must respond to an unexpected or unpleasant question.

His handlers know that he reacts bitterly and vindictively when faced with criticism, and thus are evidently keeping him increasingly insulated from the truth. It is likely he is completely unaware of the growing opposition to his regime.

Protesters are kept in barbed wire cages out view of his motorcade when he appears in public. And audiences for those appearances are hand-selected.

These practices serve an incurious, entitled, callow, Unelected Fraud who believes public service is about playing dress-up in cowboy and pilot outfits just fine, but they are unprecedented, bizarre, and extremely unhealthy for America."
