I am a white southern-male. The Republican party has paved a Yellow-Brick-Road for me...but only me. My daughter is considered a second-class citizen in the Republican party. My wife is considered a second-class citizen in the Republican party. My best friend since high school (who is gay) is considered a second-class citizen in the Republican party.
I could follow the road the Republicans have paved for me...but I'd have to go there without the people I love the most. That's not the kind of America I want.
that's what the repubs are pushing on white guys. The illusion that if the repugs are in power, white guys maintain control. When of course that's not true...
6. by focusing on race, gender, sexuality, etc the repugs cloud wealth

Economic class is the most important political destinction between people. Southern white men have the most in common with the men and women of all color working for wages every day.
Yeah, that attitude will ensure that Bush carries the South. Way to go. I am a southerner by the way. I must say that as a Southern Democrat I feel as if I am in a shrinking minority and this sort of attitude will not help me feel any better.
