Poll question: Who do you want to lead the Conservative Party of Canada?
Edited on Fri Feb-20-04 10:20 AM by Screaming Lord Byron
Three Contenders
Stephen Harper - Intelligent, strong debater, thankfully lacking in personality, a dull ideologue. Will keep the Alliance base, but expect a Harper-led party to wither east of Winnipeg. A Harper victory will drive even more former PC's from the party.

Tony Clement - I must admit, when Clement announced his candidacy, I had no idea who he was. Now, having followed his campaign, I still don't. Combines the charm of Harper with the sheer presence of Preston Manning.

Belinda Stronach - No experience, no clue. Puppet of Brian Mulroney and Mike Harris. Seems to think it reasonable to jump from no-experience to leader of a political party. CEO of a large manufacturing company, conveniently owned by her dad.

On edit - Obviously, I want the worst leader possible for them, just in case people were wondering why I was posting this.

4. Not just fun to look at.
Hilarious to listen to as well.

Judging by her website at least, she's doing pretty well: endorsed in Quebec by five former MPs and 42 riding association presidents, endorsements from Atlantic Canada's PC establishment, the heads of Calgary's police and firefighters' unions....

You go, girl!
