NY Sun Reporter Tom Lipscomb-Redacted FBI Documents Show Kerry at 'Assassi
Mr. Lipscomb was just on the Laura Ingraham show and said he now has 7 seperate witnesses, a left wing historian and redacted FBI documents that show John Kerry was at the Kansas City 'Vietnam Veterans Against the War' meeting in 1971 where the assassination of seven United States Senators was discussed.

Kerry had previously said he was not at the meeting.

Is it safe for me to assume this is bull sh!t?

1. NY Sun has no credibility
it is a right-wing conspiracy rag, almost as credible as the Weekly World News.

They will go to any length to discredit Kerry...

By Marc Morano
CNSNews.com Senior Staff Writer
March 18, 2004

(CNSNews.com) - A Vietnam War historian and supporter of Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry has told CNSNews.com that Kerry is lying about key events related to his anti-war activities in 1971.

Kerry said he hasn't spoken to former anti-war associate Al Hubbard since the two men appeared side by side on national television in April 1971, but according to

19. "CNS, Newsmax, & Judicial Watch ALL are SCAIFE FUNDED"
That's part of a posting header somewhere else here on DU. (I have that second-sourced and will check it out later). As such they're all part of the Disinformation News service (DNS?). Don't knee-jerk ignore what they push, but "consider the source" should be a major part of the evaluation.

2. Remember Kerry quit the group because he didn't like the direction
they were heading politically.

4. Kerry was at one part of the meeting and not at others.
Bear in mind that Nixon's people had infiltrated the group to try to bring them and specifically, Kerry, down by pushing radicalization within the group.

Kerry rejected that path outright.

5. It seems like Bullshit.
Hubbard's credibility appears to have been shot, actually. And he has a major axe to grind against Kerry.

7. Same RW echo-chamber tactics from the 1990's
UNfroutunatly it will work for awhile.

Stories don't have to be true in order to hurt and to make character assination.

There is nothing but lies and distortion on Laura Ingrahm about Kerry. The same goes for any other conservative talk show host. The same goes for:
American Prowler
CBN
Christian Science Monitor
CNSNews.com
Drudge Report
Federalist
FOX News
Frontpage Magazine
Human Events
Insight Magazine
Investors Business Daily
Jewish World Review

NewsMax
New York Post

Opinion Journal (WSJ)
Polyconomics
Reason Magazine

Sierra Times
Talon News
Toogood Reports

Washington Times
WorldNetDaily

These people are doing anything and everything to defeat Kerry. Lying about Kerry is the most usefull toll they have.

10. Salon is liberal-and has some of the best writing around
and I actually think the Christian Science Monitor is even-handed most of the time.

13. I might take the Christian Science Monitor off that list as well
They are rabidly independent. Don't agree with their religious ideas, but their journalism is top notch.

15. LOL - thanks for the smile
:-)

But I do like redacted FBI file (once called raw FBI intel - later called bullshit) plus 7 unnamed witnesses (meaning attendees that 30 years later can not say he was not there - and who all give different accounts as to what happened at the meeting and as to how baddly the idea was defeated in the vote) making Laura'a show.

It must be a slow week.

16. I'll give you all those except Christian Science Monitor
They're one of the more balanced sources of world news. They also have some of the most (hilariously) innocuous opinion pieces I've ever seen. When I read the paper in the Peace Corps, we used to joke around that the next opinion piece should be "Brushing Your Teeth: A Wise Choice."

We determined that the Senator thing was too much trouble, and decided to invent the Internet instead.
