OMFG! Did Bush warn Kerry NOT to campaign in Dallas? Like the other JFK?

From the aol message board:

IN HIS RALLY SPEECH IN FLORIDA TODAY, BUSH SUGGESTED KERRY HAD BETTER NOT CAMPAIGN IN DALLAS. THEN, FLASHING AN EVIL SMIRK, ADDED, "YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!" LONG PAUSE. BUSH, TONGUE-IN-CHEEK AS THOUGH EXPLAINING, CONCLUDES "THERE ARE LOTS OF COWBOY FANS DOWN THERE."

Is it true? Anyone heard it? A Link?

2. if someone said something similar about Bush, in public,
would the Secret Service be on them in a flash?

This is disgusting if true, and should be made into a campaign commercial

5. Considering the rumor that Daddy Bush played a role in the first
JFK scenario, I wouldn't put it past them.

(I'll keep checking this. I want to know more.)

6. if that son of a bitch said that he ought to be arrested
it is unimaginable that someone would say that, but for a sitting president to threaten an opponent with assassination is reason enough to storm the white house and remove him by the scruff of his neck.

9. He said something along those lines, tho didn't
think it was about Kerry --- mind you, I wasn't really paying attention. It was during the "I'd like to thank..." 10 minutes that Bush does & tho my ears pricked up when he warned against going to Dallas I think it was in relation to one of his supporters & was a football joke. (He did pause tho & my first thought was 'huh -- Kennedy?')

-- Don't quote me on this tho because I really wasn't paying much attention!

11. I heard it
at the beginning of the speech - lots of smirking and joking about Kerry but I didn't get the JFK connection.
The speech will probably be replayed on CSPAN (or check their website for video). I'll have to see it again and listen closer now that I've read your post. Sickening.

13. TRANSCRIPT here -- NOT about Kerry at all!
My friend, Lynn Swann is with us. (Applause.) He's welcome to come to Florida. We're a little nervous about inviting him down to Dallas. (Laughter.) You know what I mean -- a lot of Cowboy fans there.

I have to say though, as a huge 70's Steeler fan, I'm very disappointed chimpy considers Lynn Swann his "friend". Ugh.

He is so arrogant and stupid, I wouldn't put a sick JFK joke beyond him.

Let's see who comes forward.
