When Traficant voted for Hastert, it wasn't tolerated. He was thrown out of all committee assignments. So why hasn't anything been done about Zell? First he endorses a Frist plan to defeat the Democrats strategy for stopping *'s nominees. Then he goes all out and endorses *. Now he is launching a smear campaign against the Democratic nominee, one of his Senatorial colleagues! I can't see how that doesn't cross the line. There is no reason Kerry should be expected to share the same caucus as Zell. They need to remove him from all his committee assignments now.

1. Between Miller, Chambliss(The mint julep), and "Jefferson Davis" Purdue...
Georgia is looking more like the Confederacy than America.

3. Agreed, but what would that do to the senate?
Hey, I'm from Ga., and I'd like to strangle this nut case, but he's not running again so he's gone at the end of the year. What would throwing him out do to the Senate? I know he doesn't usually vote with the Dems, but it's still a closer senate with the 50/50 split.

Send Sam Nunn back. He was pretty conservative but at least he was a Democrat. I know Zell's a Dem, but he doesn't act like one.

6. It doesn't matter if it's closer
even if he votes with us on procedural matters, it still isn't enough because the Republicans will always win those votes. He is no value to us now, and would be much less damaging if he was recognized as the Republican that he is.

5. There are times I wish I could cut off my hand that voted for Zell
four times for Lieutenant Governor and twice for Governor of Georgia; let alone the hand that shook his hand! He has broken my heart. What a MISTAKE it was to appoint him to the Senate. I'm sickened, saddened, and grievously disappointed by Zell. The only bright spot is that I now live in Mississippi, and nobody expects anything good from this state. Believe me, they won't be disappointed. But how tragic to see Georgia trying to out-redneck Mississippi. x(
