Did you guys just see that exchange? He had Ann Coulter on and a Democratic stategist. Clarke was the topic (of course), he let Ann get her criticism off for a long time (no interruptions) and then when he asked the Democrat a question (asking if Clarke was lying in 2002 or is he lying now blah blah blah), he wouldn't even let her answer. He kept interrupting her! I swear the exchange lasted a long time but he was doing most of the talking during HER time. He let her say a few words afterwards, and then he said we got to go and he got the last word in bashing Clarke (with Ann snickering in the background). It was really horrible. I could tell on the female's face (don't remember her name) that she was getting very angry with this prick. I'll bet she won't ever return on his show. I wouldn't.

You can tell the republicans are really pissed at Clarke and it is showing BIG TIME.

No wonder I don't watch this ass's show!

I may be wrong, but I think what Clarke said about Rice is that "she looked at me like she didn't know what I was talking about", or something like that - I haven't read the book. He didn't mean to suggest that Rice didn't know who Al Qaeda was, but rather that she didn't take his warning about them seriously.

This is how I interpret this incident Clarke mentions in his book. I could be wrong, maybe someone else knows. But if I'm right then you would expect a democratic operative to have researched it and to then know how to handle the issue. This poor girl obviously did not.

She didn't handle the difference between the "2002 briefing" Clarke did and his book and testimony either. Its obvious the briefing is him acting as a loyal employee of an administration trying to put the best spin on the press, thats his job. The book is his version of events, not as a politician, but as a private citizen telling the truth as he knows it.

Overall the democrats Ive seen, including this girl, have been very poor in defending Clarke. Republicans are prepared and much tougher; Democrats are unprepared and wimps - as usual.

Oh, excuse me, I meant at least he didn't find her body in his office and get a coroner and police chief to lie that she had no obvious signs of traumatic injury and then start a false rumor in the media that the dead girl had a history of epilepsy and seizures and then angrily demand that the same media outlets stop spreading that lie, and then have no comment when it turned out the woman died of natural causes by striking her head really hard against a desk, leaving an obvious skull injury that the aforementioned coroner and police chief lied about so that no one would ask questions (by their own admission), and then reiterate that this wasn't the woman he was having an affair with that caused his recent divorce and announcement of resignation from Congress.

So it could have been worse.

In response to those who think we shouldn't watch those shows, I disagree. How would we know what they are up to if we don't study their shit. I think we should NEVER back down from an invite to one of those shows et al; the only thing is, the guests need to HAVE THEIR RAP DOWN MUCH BETTER.
