Bill Frist is shocked.. I tell you shocked...that Clarke
would seek to capiltalize on his public service by selling a book!!! Said so right now in front of the Senate. I wonder if Mr. Frist is equally shocked by Tauzin going on to work for pharmaceutical companies.

I'm so sick of this bunch of amoral money-grubbing, soulless creeps.

1. Oh, that Bill Frist
He has such delicate sensibilities.

He is too fine and pure for this world.

Such a delicate flower.

17. I understand Bill Frist's pain.
Clarke could set a terrible precedent if the hired help suddenly began talking. Clarke should have done what any business-minded Republican in public service would have done. Make one last deregulatory decision before retiring from public service, then hop skip it to the nearest board of director's meeting in the private sector.

2. I doubt Clarke ever expected to make much money from it
But my local bookstore was sold out of it yesterday. I asked about sales on Tuesday when I bought mine and they had already sold a hundred copies.

10. There was a topic here about
the book being sold out in alot of places and they are going to print more.

It still amazes me how these Repugs avoid substantitive criticism of Clarke. I'm reading his book and can imagine the WHouse was freaked when they read it.

:hi:

3. I just turned him off. He talks like a preacher. Holier than thou...
Clarke covered that issue in his testimony already. He is a sicko, undead looking, sanctimonious Bush mouthpiece.

7. My dad said the same thing
My response, which worked:

Would Clarke's words have gotten any play at all, on 60 minutes, the morning shows, Larry King, anywhere, if he hadn't written a book?

The media doesn't work that way.

They deserve all the accouterments of America's largesse, because in their ovaries and scrotums they carry the divine seed of God's blessing. Of course, they were also raised in good homes, went to good schools, and associated with the right people along the way. This is what good breeding does for you. Gives you good begetting. Good Christian rutting and siring..."

Oh oh - upon reading some of the reviews, it appears Amazon culled 80 or so unfavorable reviews from the list!

What was the total fine that Frist's family's HCA had to pay out for Medicare fraud? I recall that it was something like $1.6 BILLION.

14. ROFL! Which DUers have been reviewing this POS book?
Reviewer: A reader from Eugene, OR United States
... I want to thank Dr. Frist for taking time out of his important duties as the nation's preeminent vivisectionist to provide us with this wonderfully complete answer to the question "how did Dr. Bill Frist become the very unique individual he is today". One more thing - if you're bona fide "good people" you shouldn't have to be subjected to bad reviews. It's in the PATRIOT Act - look it up.

OMG, this one is a hoot!!

Reviewer: A reader from Salt Lake City

God has truly shined on the good people represented by Bill Frist and his brood pups. God gives them riches, contentment and power. They deserve all the accouterments of America's largesse, because in their ovaries and scrotums they carry the divine seed of God's blessing. Of course, they were also raised in good homes, went to good schools, and associated with the right people along the way. This is what good breeding does for you. Gives you good begetting. Good Christian rutting and siring. We should all feel blessed as well, that such products of divine stud service have been chosen by our nation, led by an equally well-bred Skull and Bones member of a parallel dynasty, to run the Senate. Truly, this is a golden moment in our nation's history, that we should have the products of such Christian eugenics inhabiting our most hallowed offices.

13. Anyone know what the hell John Fund was spouting last night
I believe it was on Paula Zahn's show about some congressional leader (believe it was House Intelligence - name I believe began with "P") was going to charge Clarke with perjury?

I've failed to find a reference today.
