Bruce Morton stuns Judy Woodruff...
Judy LOOOVES Bush, and reacts with shock, I tell you, should anyone impugns her man's integrititityty. So it was particularly nice to watch he reaction to the close of Bruce Morton's piece on Richard Clarke/Harry Truman, and the concept of "The Buck Stops Here." He closed with Clarke's apology before the 9/11 Commission and said "we haven't seen the buck stop like that in a long time...Harry Truman would have been proud."

Cut to Judy...

"Uh...well. Thank you, uh, Bruce Morton."

5. Judy does love bu$h!
It seems like a yearning Judy has for bu$h. She is so transparent, but what really bothers me is that with all the facts about this "president" out, the war crimes he has committed and his disdain for most people how can someone like Judy still be attracted to him? It's like the lovelorn single women who write love letters to convicted mass murderers in prison.

7. I think because of her personal history with Bush,
her and her husband Al Hunt's encounter with Bush in Texas, I think she goes too far the other way to show she doesn't hate him. But there is no way she doesn't hate him for what he said in front of their son.

Al hammers Bush week after week on Capitol Gang and I believe Judy feels the same way but Judy being a reporter and not a columnist is suppose to be neutral but I think she goes too far the other way trying to show no bias.

Hunt and woodruff host a huge fundraiser each year for it. Their son has been quite successful in overcoming it, but it is a huge factor in their lives.

25.  From Fortunate Son. Birthday party refers to his supposedly last binge.
Less than three months before the birthday party in Colorado, Bush encountered Al Hunt, then the Wall Street Journal's Washington Bureau Chief, at a Mexican restaurent in Dallas, where Hunt was dining with his wife, Judy Woodruff, and their 4 year-old son. The currrent edition of Washingtonian magazine had just hit newstands, featuring 16 pundits who predicted that Jack Kemp would be the 1988 GOP nominee instead of Vice President Bush.

Hunt said an obviously drunk George W. approached his family's table in the restaurent and began loudly cursing at him in front of his young child. " You fucking son of a bitch," Hunt has quoted Bush as saying at the time. " I saw what you wrote. We're not going to forget this."

I read that book and i remember reading about that dust up, every time i see al hunt i think about it. I'm agnostic on Judy and though it may seem to some people she is on the Bush loving bandwagon i dont think she is. I've seen her do many reports when it seems she has contempt dripping from every word she speaks about the shrub. Maybe she is trying to appear impartial, i dunno really know.
