6. actually, DU did just that
on "national poetry day" last year.

but, I think that thread is in the 'old' DU archives now.

a more recent effort...

600 | Fallujah

calloused to horror?
‘charred and dismembered bodies’
see: atrocities.

hate will not abate
and new deaths deepen the lie:
we did not choose war

an occupation
is not a liberation
this must end: Stop Bush

9. I don't want the FCC to become more powerful.
I hope people will call their Senators against "The Decency Enforcement Act of 2004" which if passed would let the FCC levy fines so heavy as to drive radio hosts off the air.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Please call each of your Senators and ask them to vote against increasing FCC fines.

The toll-free number is 1-800-839-5276.

Sample phone words:

Hello, may I speak with the office of Senator ________?
(call transferred)
Hello, may I speak with someone about the FCC?
(call transferred)
Hello, I would like to leave a message for Senator ________ that free speech is extremely important, and so please vote against increasing FCC fines.
