CNN: Chimp and Cheney testifying together
i just saw a cnn report about chimp and cheney testifying together before the 9/11 investigation panel. i know we already know this. but i think more should be made of it. all democrats need to talk about how odd this is. this should be a bigger issue than condi rice not wanting to testify at first was.

remember when they made monica lewinsky testify by herself on something that was nobody elses business ? but chimp can't do it on a serious issue that really matters? there should be many comparisons made between republicans demanding clinton talk about his sex life and videos being made public. remember how they hurried to get the starr report on the internet ? but the chimp has to have dick cheney there with him on a serious issue that actually matters, not just serious but about one of the worst national security failures in our countries history? the republicans who demanded clinton answer about that should be asked about bush.

1. Bill Schneider, CNN "political analyst extraordinaire"
(snicker) even said that politically it did not look good. This man is a Bush apologist from the word "go". So, if he doesn't think it is seemly, then... Hah! Little simpering turd! Hide behind Unka Dickey you Doo Doo!

4. early warning to the white house
he was probably giving an early warning to the white house. i liked it when he made the comparisons to past administrations. like how would it look if clinton appeared with gore, or pappy bush with dan quayle. it just doesn't look right. but in this case there is also a common understanding among many, though not often said in public by republicans that dick cheney IS really in charge.

2. The Cheney/Bush hand-holding has already been ridiculed in the NYT
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/04/01/opinion/01DOWD.html

And Letterman is bound to hit on this. I hope the embarassment forces them to reconsider.

5. Kerry and Every Dem Need to Question The Chimp's Manhood Over This
That'll make him crack if anything will. Remember when Poppy blew a gasket over being called a wimp?

They need to mercilessly SLAM chimpy as less than a man. They should ask if Cheney changes his diapers too or if Chimpy is also bringing his mommy along. I'm serious.

6. Someone should start a list of "mis-steps" made just in
the last few months! I honestly can't believe that the Pubs had such a reputation of being GREAT at making their guy look good and all the Dems look bad....how can they make so many mistakes in such a short time?

Seems every day there's something else!

This "demanding that Cheny be there with him" deal is probably the funniest of all. Did his handlers actually believe this would pass the laugh test????

7. Wonder if Bush is so snippy because, among other things,
Edited on Tue Apr-06-04 10:40 AM by DeepModem Mom
he's embarrassed because he, and everyone else, now know for certain that he could not be allowed to testify alone before the commission because he is "out the loop," knows little, and is so inarticulate and, well, dumb, that he cannot be trusted not to say something that would bring the whole cabal down now.

12. he could pull the old reagan "I don't recall" but of course with reagan
it turned out to be true, the poor thing.

For dumbya it would be another lie. I guess he'd have to say "I don't recall (them telling me)"

21. Regan wasn't faking
How did he KNOW what he couldn't recall? If his memory was gone, shouldn't he have said "I don't know" instead?

17. Minneapolis Tribune also called it just right; ran story a few days ago
about how this goes against any kind of real investigative techniques, and how any idiot knows that one does not question people together, nor even let them converse with each other between individual sessions and all that, and how this would help Chimpy avoid having to answer anything hard, he can just throw it to Cheney so he won't sound the inebriate mushmouth....
What a fuckin' joke. I hope the members of the commission have sufficient cojones to ask Chimpy some direct and pointed questions, and make it clear to him and his handler that an answer is expected from Chimpy's mouth, and Cheney better be takin'a drink while the boy king tries to wrap his brain around his native language...incoherent lying sack of shit.

My husband could not believe he was finally hearing it. His comment was "finally", he is very cynical and for hm to be impressed by the news gave me some hope.

19. AND Cheney gets to go to the bathroom with Smirk - for real

yes, as part of the deal Cheney must go with Smirk to the bathroom, Smirk cannot go alone.

us americans must be insane to let this criminal gang tell us what to do.

(did the commission members laugh out loud about the bathroom business?)

oh, to have a commission member tell Cheney he has to leave the room so they can speak to Smirk alone. Wouldn't that be a scene?

...have to wonder about this. Why would their "War President" and "Leader in the War on Terror" have to appear with the VP to hold his hand???
