QUESTION FOR DUers about McCain-Feingold
Edited on Tue Apr-06-04 07:07 PM by Hippo_Tron
Democrats were the ones in strong support of it while Republicans delayed its passage for as long as they possibly could. Yet people on this board have said that it has effectively ruined our chances of winning elections. Why would democrats support a bill that screws themselves over and why would Republicans be against a bill that screws democrats over. I just don't get it.

4. Not what I'm looking for I want people to explain arguments...
That they have made. On the Feingold for VP thread people stated that McCain-Feingold has screwed over the democratic party and Russ Feingold is not a great man for enacting such reform. I responded with the argument that it was supported by democrats and opposed by Republicans so how could it be that bad for democrats. NOBODY RESPONDED TO MY ARGUMENT. I want people to to respond my arguments and not make more baseless accusations.
