Gergen on CNBC....
Edited on Tue Apr-06-04 10:49 PM by berner59
Wow, I've never seen him so angry about this Iraq mess... he said in a VERY angry tone "The people who got us into this better well get us out of it and I don't think anyone knows how to do that!!"

If so many poor soldiers weren't being sitting ducks, I'd be happy about the mess Bush is in...but right now, they need to find a way to protect our kids over there!!!

And Bush is seen smiling and laughing as he answers questions about it today...SICKENING!!!!

8. He's pretty level headed...
as repubs go, so when I see him criticizing and in this case, out and out angry over Bush, I really take notice...

6. Yep, Gergen is right wing, but he's old school Repug
He even worked for Clinton for a while. He's not a wacko right winger, more the traditional conservative Republican. No doubt there is much he doesn't like about the Shrub mis-administration.

5. Interesting...
Gergen is a GOP with a brain, a rare breed.

What he says speaks volumes for many other centrist REpuke voters, voters who Bush is gonna lose if these Iraq shadows remain...

9. NO, they don't know how to get us out of it
They didn't think this far ahead, they just wanted to go in and bomb Saddam, all else and everyone else be damned. Today our kids are dying and bushie is on his way to the ranch to play in the brush.

19. Republican in name only
and so a DINO is a Dem in name only, like Zell Miller

and, this is my addition, a WINO is a Whig in name only like John Tyler, VP who succeeded William Henry Harrison when he died shortly after his inauguration.

11. Gergen has impressed me
as having a pretty good brain and has struck me as being pretty middle of the road as far as political opinion. He has that ability to point out good and bad points of any president in a common sense sort of way. I do remember him saying early on in the Bush administration that he felt bush was remarkably incurious for a president and time would tell whether that would be a hindrance to him.

20. Irony
Clinton was surrounded with backstabbers like Stephanopolis and Morris, and the one guy who seems most straightforward is a Repug.
