Riverside County, the Linda Soubirous race, separated by less than 50 votes (1/10th of a percent). They are looking for 15 observers for this, to take place April 8 (tomorrow) at 8 a.m.
Hoo-ey, I saw the list of documents they have asked for. WAY TO GO, Linda Soubirous, and your campaign staff.
They have asked for the signed zero reports from every one of the 4,200 touch-screens.
The people we had in place on March 2 indicated that in some of the Diebold touch-screen locations, some machines could not produce a zero report at the beginning of the election, yet were used anyway. This county uses Sequoia touch-screens. We shall see what happens. The zero report is a way to indicate that no electronic ballot-box stuffing has occured before the election.
They have asked for the event logs for the cental tabulator.
The two individuals dinking around on the central tabulation machines, who Sequoia says were actually working on a different program, will show up in the event log because witnesses recorded the time and which machines they were on. Of course, on the WinEds software we examined, you can edit the event log and erase awkward situations.
And you know that silly "we have redundant databases" argument?
They have asked for a formal comparison of the votes on the flash memory on each of the 4,200 machines with what showed up on the central tabulator.
That's the first time it's been done, folks, as far as I know. However, out of 44 recount requests, County Elections Registrar has only agreed to 5.
