Obviuosly, Bush suffered from a lack of intelligence.....
According to Condi Rice. Even though the 8/6/01 PDB indicated Osama determined to attack in the US, foreign intelligence agencies were warning CIA of impending US attacks, people in the CIA were running around with their "hair on fire" due to the torrent of warnings, Condi knew there were Al Quaeda sleeper cells in the US but didn't bother to tell Bush, the FBI was warning of an inordinately high number of Arabs learning to fly planes in flight schools (makes you wonder how the knew to sieze records from Huffman aviation in Fla. so quickly, and why Jeb called out the Fla. national guard in August and how they could identify so accurately the 19 hijackers within 24 hours of 911 were'd they get the intel?). I could go on and on but to me, either Bush was studiously avoiding "knowing" anything or his aides were derelict. This level of information does not require anyone to connect any dots. The plan was visible for all to see who wanted to see. It appears that Bush's advisors may have deliberately kept him "out of the loop".

plausible deniability.

3. You raise a troubling thought
What if Condi and the gang knew something was about to happen but knew that the odds of stopping were so small that they didn't want fearless leader to be put at risk? Therefore, he was kept out of the loop. Were they trying to run a high risk gamble and wanted to protect the boy-king?

lotsa tinfoil here, but a very interesting proposition

4. Actually, not much tinfoil
Most of what I stated is on the record from the 911 hearings. It doesn't take a genius to see we had a big problem if only they wanted to look.

5. The truth is just so obvious, but...
too many people just don't want to see it. An attack as large as 9/11 took years of planning and large amounts of money. The FBI and the CIA had to notice all of the signs that something was coming, esp the one about the rise of Arab enrollments in flight schools.

And just how did they get the pics of the hijackers so quickly? Was that ever explained? Is the commission going to address it?

7. Maybe they kept him out of the loop as a cover...he can say...I knew
nothing...just like he didnt have war plans on HIS desk...they were on Condi's desk...Not lying...but also not telling the truth..CYOA!

It's also called a "sin of ommission"...and they will have to make ammends one day.
