Bush's vacation days = 500!! More than 40% of his residency!!
He was taking what would have been a record breaking 31 day vacation beginning August 4, 2001 (it didn't break the record because he realized the media were beginning to question his "work ethic").

Cheney left for his month long vacation around August 15, 2001 in Jackson Hole.

Ashcroft leaves for his weekend fishing on July 26, 2001 via private aircraft. He flies private because of a "threat assessment" by the FBI.

On August 6, 2001 Chimpy gets the infamous PDB "Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States". What does he do? He continues to vacation at the ranch for another 25 days!??!

Here is an excerpt from the April 9/03 Washington Post:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A62524-2004Apr8?language=printer

<snip>

This is Bush's 33rd visit to his ranch since becoming president. He has spent all or part of 233 days on his Texas ranch since taking office, according to a tally by CBS News. Adding his 78 visits to Camp David and his five visits to Kennebunkport, Maine, Bush has spent all or part of 500 days in office at one of his three retreats, or more than 40 percent of his presidency.

The anti-Bush group America Coming Together issued a news release yesterday noting that Bush was on his ranch on Aug. 6, 2001, when he received a crucial intelligence briefing that was prominent in Rice's testimony yesterday.

<snip>

The fact that Bush continued to vacation after receiving that Aug 6/01 PDB has got to get some major media attention! We have to make some news about this. The fact that he remained at that ranch for all that time with all the threats that they were getting that summer is the one thing that makes my blood boil the most. Please take some time and e-mail the media about this. We have to try our best to make the media report on the fact that Chimpy took the threat so seriously that he didn't bother to interrupt any of his vacation. Then throw in that total of 40% of his presidency has been vacation days! This could be the one thing that wakes the people up in this country!

"Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States" and the Commander in Chief continues to vacation in Texas! That is a headline!

Some things never change... Iraq is blowing all to hell and where is the Commander in Chief... ON HIS FUCKING VACATION!!

This vacation issue could be huge and we need to make sure it's getting out there!
