A possible attack during the Democratic Convention in Boston???
Edited on Fri Apr-09-04 03:36 AM by Cascadian
The mother of all nightmares!

I had this scary thought the other night. I even talked about it with a friend. I imagined waking up early in the morning during the week of the Democratic Convention, turning on the TV and flashed on my screen, "There has been a massive explosion in downtown Boston, undetermined deaths and injuries reported. The Greater Boston Area has been evacuated. President Bush has declared martial law. Republican Convention to go ahead as planned..." After that I shuddered.

Not to sound like I am wearing a tin foil hat but what if it does happen? Ever since the Bush Crime Family took power, nothing surprises me about them anymore. I don't mean to freak out but it all seemed so real.

Had anybody ever had such a thought?

:scared:

1. Or they might send their ...
... thugs to riot in the streets to make the dems look bad.

2. scary thought

I'm pretty tinfoil-ish myself, and I think there's been a run on tinfoil in the last several months. Suddenly, a lot of "conspirisy theories" don't seem so far fetched.

Boston tho, I dunno? What effect would that have politically for bush? I think they would think it would help him tremendously. That's what makes it scary, becuase I don't think for a minute that there isn't some "plan x" that rummy and rove and cheney have sitting on a desk somewhere, just in case the media manipulation and the scare tactics and the rigged voting machines aren't enough to put them within stealing range.

My gut says the Dem convention wouldn't be that target tho. I think it would be too soon for a last resort thing. But hell, with this gang of murderers, maybe that's just plan b.

I don't believe Americans would sit still for it tho. I think in the end, another attack will hurt bush more than help, no matter how it was timed. Unless, of course, it was sufficient for them to cancel the elections.

*sigh*

I want my country back!

3. Naaah, they don't think the way we do
.
.
.

That's why the US is having so much trouble over in Iraq -

All them mega billion dollar machines and munitions and the Iraqis are holding them at bay, basically with popguns.

Iraqis have been there for over 4,000 years, and they won't GIVE their soil to anyone.

The US can put down one group, another will rise.

Maybe that al-Sadr is a bad guy and MAYBE alot of the Iraqis don't like him. But it will not make a difference to the families and friends of the 200+ innocent the Iraqis that the USA massacred so they could "pacify" a town.

Those people will avenge those deaths, it might be the 8 year olds that survive, and come back 10-20 years later, but they will NEVER forget.

And they will avenge those deaths.

As to special times? - nope,

if that was so, they would have waited until the towers were full of people.

The States has to come up with a different approach with these terrorists than just bombing the shit out of any country they hang around in, the civilian deaths just infuriate everyone and create MORE terrorists, if you want to call them that.

I figure in the Fallujah massacres alone that they have created 1000's more "insurgents" or really just people that must avenge the deaths of their loved ones.

But the States loves it's little labels and codenames.

Vigilant Resolve - really!

More like Vigilantes!

4. My friend and I have been worried about this for some time
We have a mutual friend who will be going and are very worried. The worries started when DeLay tried to sucker everyone onto a cruiseship - GOP in NY and the Dems started talking about that in Boston.
