Operation Expose Hypocrisy
Here might be a project all of us at DU can participate in...

Compile a list of which politicians and pundits who supported the Iraq invasion have kids or grandkids old enough to serve in Iraq. After we compile that list, we can ask those pundits and politicians about why their kids are not in Iraq. At that point, we can compile a list of their excuses. What a great website that would make.

1. Or just issue each of them a helmet, a rifle, and...
...a ticket to Fallujah, compliments of the cakewalk.

2. Senator Tim Johnson(Democrat-South Dakota) supported the war...
and is the ONLY person in congress with a child in the armed services(airforce).

3. We might as well start with our own... Joe Lieberman
Edited on Fri Apr-09-04 04:31 PM by The Night Owl
Joe Lieberman has 4 kids- Matthew, Rebecca, Ethan, and Hana.

http://lieberman.senate.gov/senator/index.html

Matthew Lieberman is 36. Matthew is too old to sign up for the armed forces, but he could easily apply for a variety of jobs in Iraq. Perhaps Matthew's father Joe could talk him into taking a job in Iraq.

Rebecca Lieberman is 34. Rebecca is also too old to join the armed forces, but she too could apply for a variety of jobs in Iraq.

Ethan Lieberman is 29. Ethan might also be too old to join the armed forces, but he is still young and energetic. Ethan should be doing everything he can to get over to Iraq to help the war effort.

Hana Lieberman is 16. Hana is too young to go to war, but if the conflict in Iraq is still going on in two years, then I am certain that her father will insist that she go to Iraq to help the war effort or reconstruction effort there.

There you have it. Three Lieberman children are old enough to be in Iraq. None are in Iraq.

Maybe if Holy Joe's children were taking part in the search for WMD, Holy Joe would not find the president's WMD jokes so funny.
